Uniqlo's Free Long Johns Are Lone Gone!

Here is a quick follow-up of the Uniqlo Heat Tech event that took place yesterday. I wasn't able to make it because of work and yatta yatta yatta, but check out this video of what exactly went down in order to receive your free heart-warming garment. I can only imagine how packed this island was. We need more events like this in a time of giant poop.


Man... I personally thought that chick did a horrible job as a robot inside a vending machine! I wonder how much they got paid?

Uniqlo Thinks They Can Vend Us For Free?

Yay! Another free clothing event that I cannot attend. Stupid work!
IF anyone missed the Diesel event, you can try your luck with this Uniqlo event, but I warn you, it's in the heart of Times Square. Good lucking fighting the tourists and hipsters.

Uniqlo is promoting their new Heat Tech Innerwear next month. The cool / weird part is how they are doing it. They plan on having a giant human vending machine, with mimes and employees dressed up in silver spacesuits! I can't really picture how it's going to work, but here is a digital rendering of what it may look like.
I wish I could go, I would like to see the whole process of "miming".

Landing in Central Park in October, this display has already been to Hong Kong and Tokyo, with London, Moscow, and Paris next on their city tour. This galactic beast will house work from 15 hot contemporary artists which will all be basically advertising the brand. I'm sure this will be one of the main attractions for tourists while it is still here, I know I will definitely pay a visit, well, not necessarily "pay", because it will be free admission!

Ladies! This exclusive Reebok x Married To The Mob x Colette collabo is releasing this weekend at Alife. Supposedly the only store in North America to carry these Freestyles, which are limited to 300 pairs worldwide. If ya'll are diggin' the big lips plastered all over the sneaker, then get your cupid on!
They are very loud indeed, reminds me of a very Valentine-y type of colorway. Don't sleep on these exclusives though!

Customers Customize For Their Custody!

As more and more companies are struggling to differentiate from each other, especially in fashion, why not do what Nike has successfully done with their iD campaign? That's exactly what Brooklyn based Mishka is trying to do!
As of today, you may customize a t-shirt and have it shipped to you for $39.99. Each month Mishka will provide the basic shirt template design, this month will be the Death Adders Inc. logo. Like Nike iD, you can attach a name to the shirt, but instead of it being displayed visibly like Nike, it will be on the inside shirt tag.
Mishka has a LONG way to go until they provide enough materials / colors to fully experience a customization project.

Shoe Goo: An Adhesive Which Extends The Life Of A Shoe!

This just released in Japan, Nike Dunk Hi Premium SB 'Shoe Goo'. Nobody has even heard or seen these before, they just released out of nowhere and under the radar. I wonder how Nike managed to do that, being that usually all shoes that release have been talked about or have had sample pictures leaked. These remind me of a more subtle Mork-N-Mindys; no flashy chrome mid-section. My taste for these are bitter, I don't like too much red on my shoes! I know many people who DO like the red, so these will definitely be a good release (as if most sb's aren't...)
I must admit, though, the middle section does have some interesting denim-ish material, and the clear mid-sole is a nice touch!

The Sun Tans More Than Our Skin!

Here is an interesting collabo with solebox and asics. Not only does it have a very nice purple colorway, similar to the purple pigeons, it has the ability to change colors based on sunlight!
The upper/midsole is sensitive to the Sun, and will turn the white into purple. asics has been coming out with some fresh kicks and collabos, I can't wait to see who else will utilize this color-changing chameleon-esque type of material. My only gripe about this shoe is the billboard style advertisement of "solebox" on the heel of the shoe, other than that, this shoe is sure to be a star!
Release date is set for August 23rd.

Kan The Louis Vuitton Don

Apparently Mr. West is collaborating with LV to create a Mens shoe line! After showing off his exclusive Air Yeezy's during the Grammy's and his Glow In The Dark Tour, he will soon be sharing his love for kicks to the high-end market. I can't wait to see what this collabo will produce, I just hope it will have some creativity to it, rather than just LV LV LV LV LV all over the shoe like the famous print on the bags. I guess I know why he calls himself the "Louis Vuitton Don." Let's see if we will spot men wearing his shoe and an LV man-purse to match!

Do Not Pass [the production of this] Go!

Go straight to Jail, on the 'short line railroad'. This shoe is the ultimate abomination of collaborations. Monopoly, Monopoly... oh how I used to love this never-ending game, or at least it felt that way. I remember not trusting the banker with all the cash, and trying to buy up every single property I landed on.

From Board Game to sneaker, who would have thought? Reebok just lost some points from me though, although they never had much from me to begin with, this just confirmed why!
With Nike releasing more meaningful inspiring shoes, like the recent BMX Pack, or the Olympic Packs, Reebok just took another step back.
What would be interesting is if the shoe could open up flat, with a secret compartment for the board pieces/dice, then we could have a party (minus the smell of feet!)

Chris Gold - Stay Rockin' SB Dunks!

Ohh... Check out Chris Gold, I mean Brown, rockin' the new Nike SB Trickstar BMX Package Gold Star Dunks (whew, now that's a long name). This special exclusive sneaker is set to release this morning at 11:30AM @ Dave's Quality Meat, and will release to other SB premium accounts next month. The price is rumored to be around $200, and only 30 pairs will be released today. I was going to go get them early, but I don't have that much free time from work to go wait in line, people have been waiting since last night! Hopefully I will be able to get these during the second release.

What do ya'll think? Cop or Not?
Might I add, Rihanna's heel shoes are pretty dam sexy in a mummy wrapping kind of way...
