Starbucks New Signature Hot Chocolates Makes Me Count Calories!

Today North American Starbucks stores officially launched their "Signature Hot Chocolate" line of beverages. Just in time for Fall! No longer is the regular Mocha used to make their hot chocolates, they now use a blend of 4 different cocoas, attempting to give it a European-style swag. Aside from the plain one, they also have Hazelnut and Salted(What??) Caramel Hot Chocolates.
While at my old store I used to work at today, I was tempted to try the Salted version, but it was a bit warm out today and I decided to save my taste buds from this new drink. While re-kindling with my manager she described the taste of the Salted Caramel is just like eating a Chocolate covered pretzel. That sounds pretty enticing to me now, I think I will give it a try when the flakes of snow start floating upon us.
She also explained the ingredients, so here it is: Cocoa blend, Toffeenut syrup, steamed milk, topped with whipped cream, caramel swirl, and sprinkles of Sea Salt. Wow, now that's a party in your mouth. According to Starbucks' nutrition information, a Grande Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate with whole milk and whipped cream is 640 Calories, God Dam!
If I indulge in one of these, I will have to skip dessert! What are you waiting for? Go and count your calories away!

How To Become A Genius... An Apple Genius.

I know some of my friends have "appled" to Apple previously, whether it was for the Genius position or just retail. Here is the interview/hiring process leaked from someone who went through it all, specifically for the Genius position. From what I read, seems like those Genius's don't get to have much fun and are locked down. But dam, the pay is pretty dam good! ($17/hour)

Maybe after reading this, one can be more successful at getting this position, at least until Apple finds this and decides to re-vamp their whole interviewing process.
Check out the full process here: Macblogz

Voulez-vous coucher avec moi?

No... But I'll sleep in you ;)
She is "Le Projet Triangle". Beautiful, isn't she?

I should be financially stable by 2014 right?... If so, I want to visit this shark fin pyramid in Paris! The cool thing about this building is that it will not cast a shadow on any adjacent buildings! Awesome... I think. I just want to know if this thing will host public events or provide the best shopping experience in the world!

Nike Dunk SB Low 'Gold Rail'

Upcoming Dunk Low nicknamed 'Gold Rail', inspired by the Flinders Street Station in Melbourne. Definitely does not give off that "Gold" look, but still pretty nice colorway. I wish one of the blue was darker to give it more contrast. Rumors say this will only release in Melbourne, but others are saying it is coming to the states! We'll see come October.
I love blue, but i'm not sure how I feel about these, must see in person! More suede!

When Cocks Attack!

This is our pet rooster, Rocky. He likes to be a bully, or maybe not a bully since his opponent is 10 times bigger than him. He's just a cock who loves to fight!

Metamorphosis Caught On Video

Every once in a while a video will pop up of someone doing something so unique and crazy, yet so simple. Enter John Doe, he decides to take an image of himself every single day for 17 years, and as a result, this amazing flipbook type video of his aging. 17 years ago... what if the internet never became popular and digital video never happened? That would have sucked, all those photographs of him and no way to share with the world! But, here we have it, age on brother! His hair goes crazy!

Attention Craigslist Users!

I just received this e-mail today and I almost gave them my info. I suggest you all look out for this type of e-mail regarding your Craigslist account and do NOT give them your info. I almost fell for it, since the e-mail and landing page looked legit. But I looked at the domain URL and it was coming from www.Mercycollege.edu
Seriously? Mercy college? What type of scam (or experiment) are they running over there? I hope they get shut down soon, or there will be lots of private information exploited really soon.

If you go to www.mercycollege.edu directly, you should see "Site temporarily down". Being hacked much?

25th... Save The Date!

Free Cold Stone September 25th! They may be small (3 oz), but free is free. I haven't had Cold Stone in a while, I think I grew out of it and morphed into Pinkberry. In exchange for the free ice cream, Cold Stone will be requesting a small donation to be made to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Free treats and supporting the cause, what more do you need?

Cats are so much cooler than dogs.

Too bad he lost against an immobile object :[

Kanye West Gets Lockdown! (Not By Love)

So Kanye got himself arrested this morning at LAX and is being held on $20K bail. All because of his ego unfriendliness. Basically a photographer was taking pictures of Kanye, and when he realized, he rushed towards the poor boy and snatched his camera and threw it on the ground. Another person was filming this whilie it happened. Cops came and owned Kanye and his bodyguard. Tsk tsk. Silly Kanye, violence is for kids.
I guess he really wanted to be on "Lockdown"

Fall Isn't For All, But This May Be!

Ah, one of the many things to look forward during Autumn is back!
Pumpkin Spice Latte. Indulge. I usually get it with one less pump of syrup, and with soy, but I still keep the whipped cream and pumpkin powder :)
I don't even like pumpkin anything, but this is great!

Nike SB x De La Soul Dunk Low

These were samples created back in 2006, and were scrapped. Rumors are saying that they will be released in 2009. This will be the third De La Soul collabo with Nike. Based off of their AOI: Bionix album cover, these sure look like space kicks. Just throw some purple laces on them and you'll have Dino jr's jr! I think i'd rock these, shiny as hell! They will be my ghetto Medicom 3's until I can cop those.

Your Eyes Sparkle In The Twilight... Want To Date?

Bling out your eyes with these Swarovski studded contact lenses, and be careful not to go blind from the crystal cut! Now when you hear your boyfriend say you've got "sparkles" in your eyes, you can show him this and tell him to buy it for you! What's a sparkle without Swarovski crystals? They have beautiful sculptures and jewelry, which I like because it gives an option when it comes to luxurious (diamonds, gold, silver) accessories. This design was the second place winner in the "Crystal Vision" competition, I wonder what won first. Who knows if this will actually become the next trend, or if it will even be produced, all I know is that I am waiting for an accident and a lawsuit to happen!

September Brings Us Mooncake And Kicks!

Seems like China has been getting a lot of play with Nike, to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in September, Nike released three shoes (Air Max 1, Blazer, Terminator). Mooncake + Rabbits = Awesome!

I personally like the Air Max 1, and MAYBE I can mess with the Blazer. I love gold, it's the closest I'll ever get to it!

Now, on to the eye-candy:

Yuck Terminators!

Simon Says... Err, Google Says, Chrome!

Just a while ago Google released their browser, Chrome, to the public (striking resemblance to the game). Currently, this open source browser is available for Windows only. After using it for a little bit, my first impression is that the interface is very clean and simple. I wonder if Google will outdo Mozilla in the browser war.

Here are a couple cool features:

-Tabbed browsing where each tab gets its own process, leading to faster and more stable browsing. If one tab crashes, the whole browser doesn’t go down with it

-An “incognito” mode that lets you browse the web in complete privacy because it doesn’t record any of your activity

I am particularly interested in the incognito mode, if this becomes a very successful browser and this feature is popular amongst the users, what will happen to online marketers who drop cookies and track user's activity? Gone out the window are metrics for conversions, impressions, clicks, etc. This may well be a new change in technology that shoppers have been looking for, the ability to browse with privacy. It is still too early to tell though, we shall see what's to come. Give it a download and check it out for yourself!

There is also a comic book created to display key engineering decisions for this new technology. Pretty cool stuff. Here is a screenshot of the first page
